Vigilantes are people who appoint themselves to undertake law enforcement in their community without legal authority. There is a myriad of ways people can get justice. In these books, characters decide to find answers themselves. After forty-plus years, cold cases are revived and involved parties seek the perpetrator that’s haunted their families. A law professor has to investigate a dangerous case if he wants to bring his goddaughter back home.
