New Year, New Reads: 5 James Patterson Books to Devour in 2021
A new year means a long new list of books written by James Patterson. There are new installments of his biggest series, including Michael Bennett and the Women’s Murder Club, and also some of his most nail-biting mysteries ever! We even have a new presidential thriller with Bill Clinton to look forward to. No matter what 2021 brings, at least we know for sure we have some incredible books to look forward to.
The Russian – 1/25/21 Wedding bells are in the air! NYPD Detective Michael Bennett is set to marry his longtime love, Mary Catherine, until a serial killer crashes those plans right before the big day. In the time leading up to the wedding, Bennett should be picking out flowers, sampling cake flavors, and settling on the perfect tie, but instead, he’s pulled into working with the FBI to investigate one of the most dangerous serial killers the city has ever seen. Each of the murderer’s victims is a young woman, and each has been killed in a manner as precise as it was gruesome. Can Bennett put the killer behind bars before it’s time to say “I do?”
Walk In My Combat Boots – 2/8/21
James Patterson is known for being the world’s most trusted storyteller, and now he’s working with America’s bravest warriors to tell their spine-chilling personal stories. This is a brutally honest look at the lives of soldiers overseas, usually only shared with comrades in arms. If you’re a fan of James’s edge-of-your seat storytelling, you will be left speechless when you finish one of his most anticipated books of the new year.
The Red Book – 3/29/21 Thriller fans have been begging for a sequel to The Black Book since it was first released in 2017. James never disappoints, and this pulse-pounding page-turner has all of the elements that made the original James’s highest rated stand-alone thriller ever! In this book, Detective Billy Harney is a new member of Chicago PD's elite strike force and he quickly learns that getting shot in the head, being stalked by a state's attorney, and getting accused of murder are all just part of the job. No need to read the original to enjoy The Red Book. Jump right in and be awestruck!
21st Birthday – 5/3/21 Stopping murderers is what The Women’s Murder Club does best, but this time, Detective Lindsay Boxer is up against her most mind-boggling case yet. A distraught mother begs for someone to investigate her daughter’s disappearance, but every time Lindsay uncovers a new piece of evidence, there are more new questions raised than answers obtained. Nothing is making sense, and the dots are not connecting. What must Lindsay do to solve this mystery and protect a twenty-year-old victim long enough to see her twenty-first birthday?
The President’s Daughter – 6/7/21 Lee Child called Bill Clinton and James Patterson, “the dream team,” and now they’re back with another blockbuster thriller! Former President Matthew Keating has always defended his family as staunchly as he has his country. Now those defenses are under attack. A madman abducts Keating’s teenage daughter, turning every parent’s deepest fear into a matter of national security. As the world watches in real time, Keating embarks on a one-man special-ops mission that tests his strengths as a leader, a warrior, and a father.
